Tick free hides are from horses which have been raised and slaughtered in areas of Peru known to be free of horse tick parasites.
The hair length varies from skin to skin. Racing horses tend to have shorter hair, sometimes as little as 0.5" to 0.75" long. Regular horses often have hair that is 1" to 1.25" long. The hides do not have tails or manes.
The hides are mostly solid colors (brown or black).
